How do I learn more about Canvas?
Once you’re logged into your observer account, you’ll have access to a course called The Canvas Toolbox.
Why does my child get an ‘Access Denied’ screen when submitting an assignment or trying to take a quiz?
Canvas is logged in with an observer account and not with the student’s credentials. Observers do not have access to ratings. Make sure your child is logged in with the credentials.
Why am I not receiving notices or other notifications from my child’s teacher?
You may not have checked the correct notification settings for your Observer account. You have control over what you receive notifications for. For more information click here. You will be prompted to log in to Canvas.
How do I get notifications as SMS to my phone?
You must add your mobile phone as a contact point in your account settings before you receive SMS notifications. Normal SMS charges apply.
Why don’t images load in Canvas?
There are a number of possible reasons why images aren’t showing up in Canvas, from your network connection to the type of computer or browser you’re using.
