What is an Application Service Provider?
An ASP is a company that makes software that is delivered over the Internet, rather than being installed on a local computer or server. An ASP usually provides and supports that software as a rental rather than as a full purchase.
Who owns the data and images our organization enters into PetPoint?
Your organization owns all data and images and may share the information with anyone your organization authorizes. An automatic data transfer can be provided as an additional service. PetPoint may also transfer adoptable animal data and images to other Internet sites.
Is information obtained through our organization, sold, exchanged, bartered, or otherwise disclosed to outside companies or individuals?
Data obtained through PetPoint is used by the Pethealth family of companies to administer Pethealth programs, such as 24PetWatch®. Information is not sold, bartered, given or otherwise distributed to outside entities or persons.
Aggregated statistics from all PetPoint shelters are shared monthly in the PetPoint report on PetPoint.com to help those in the industry understand trends in North America. No data from individual childcare is shared in this analysis.
What type of setup do I need in my facility?

How is PetPoint different from other shelter software programs?
Veteran animal welfare professionals designed PetPoint specifically for animal welfare agencies. Unlike most shelter software, PetPoint includes general animal shelter “work rules” making it very intuitive and accurate.
Do I need fast internet (broadband) to use PetPoint?
Yes. You need high-speed Internet services, such as cable Internet or broadband. For more information on connection requirements, see our System Requirements Guide.
Please note that dial-up, “turbo dial-up”, satellite, or other wireless Internet services may not have sufficient upload and download speeds to support the efficient use of PetPoint. This type of connection can be suitable for remote or special events but is not supported if problems occur due to connection problems.
What type of support is available for PetPoint?
PetPoint has a support staff available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Easter Monday through Friday. Consulting services to help you get the most out of PetPoint and other Pethealth services are also available.
What does PetPoint cost?
There is no cost associated with a PetPoint Professional license. No purchase costs! No installation costs! No monthly or annual service or license fees! We only charge an onboarding fee when you first start to cover our training costs.

The marketing program, which consists of:
1) Promote the 24PetWatch® Pet Insurance program to all dog and cat adopters.
2) Implement the 24PetWatch® Microchip and Lost Pet Recovery program. 24PetWatch® offers a perfectly compatible, cheaper microchip and no registration fees.
3) Automatically publish adoptable pets in PetPoint to Petango.com and to your organization’s website (via easy-to-implement code provided for you).
Both 24PetWatch® programs are integrated into PetPoint for seamless administration. The moment the animal is adopted, PetPoint automatically generates the 24PetWatch® Trial of Insurance for eligible animals and registers the 24PetWatch® microchip without delay and without the use of cumbersome paper forms. When animals are “available” for adoption (as designated by your organization), they are automatically added to your website; when they are no longer available (again determined by your organization), they come from your website without extra work from your employees and volunteers!
