Tesla Solar Glass Roof Launched, Claimed to Be Easier to Install
Multimillionaire technical mogul Elon Musk recently unveiled the third version of Tesla’s rooftop product – called the Solar Glass Roof. According to Musk, this third iteration of the electricity generating house topper will be cheaper, easier and faster to install than its predecessor.
“It will grow like kelp on steroids,” he said, recounting the new Tesla sunroof. “A new roof with integrated solar: solar roof combines solar and non-solar panels that seem similar to create a beautiful aesthetic with a comparable price on a typical roof + solar panels. Tesla Energy says it has increased the power density in the third version of Solar Roof trays, reduced the parts used in the trays by half, and significantly reduced costs compared to second-generation trays, Engadget reported.
The estimated cost of a 2,000-square-foot sunrise is $ 33,950 (about Rs. 24.03,7000) and comes with a 25-year warranty. Initially, Telsa will do the installation itself and aims to complete the entire job in just eight hours.
In addition, Musk says the new Tesla Solar Roof is cheaper than a new roof and a separate roof-mounted solar system.
